Grameen Trust (GT) has crossed 12,000 Nobin (New Entrepreneurs) in its 841st Executive Design Lab (EDL) held on February 20, 2020 at Hobiganj Unit under Narsingdi Anchal. The Design Lab was chaired by Mr. Sanwar Hossain, Anchal Prodhan, Narsingdi Anchal. A total of 19 project proposals were presented by the potential new entrepreneurs, all the proposals were unanimously approved during the Lab and 100% of the entrepreneurs are women.
Till February 24, 2020, GT has approved a total of 12,059 Nobin projects with the equity investment of BDT 8,08,100,000 (USD 9,537,353.94). The businesses of these projects include shopkeeping , fisheries & livestock, handicraft & cottage industry, micro business, services & transportations, factories and Agriculture & Forestry. Among 12,059 Nobin, 4159 are female which is 34% of the total New Entrepreneurs.
