[NEWS_IMAGE] As a part of the Social Business Village program, the social business team of Grameen Telecom Trust (GTT) conducted two ‘Young Explorers Meeting’ with young students of Gaibandha. GTT strives to grow awareness among the youth in villages on the concept of Social Business. The youth are exposed to different aspects of social business, the ways in which the youth can engage themselves with the concept and use it as tool for solving different social problems.

The first meeting was organized at the project premises of the SDRS Social Business project on Tuesday, 28th January 2014 at Kalirbazar of Fulchari Upazilla, Gaibandha. Around 30 young women attended the meeting; few of them were also producers of the SDRS Social Business project. 

The second meeting was held in the afternoon of the same day at the SKS Training Centre at the Bhorotkhali village of Saghata Upazilla, Gaibandha. 42 students from nearby schools and colleges attended the meeting. On both occasions the participants were excited to know about Nobel Laureate Professor Muhammad Yunus’s concept on various aspects of Social Business including Social Business Village gaining global recognition and having impact and expressed their willingness to align with the cause.
