Grameen Trust(GT) organized three 'Screening Camps' at Fajilpara, Araishidha union and Dakhinpara, Araishidha union, Ashuganj Unit under Narsingdi Anchal on August 13, 2018. 106 potential New Entrepreneurs(NEs) who participated at these screening camps are female. Ashuganj unit would be the first unit among other 35 units under GT's Nobin Program(NP) which will reach out only female entrepreneurs and provide equity in their businesses. The event was facilitated by Mr. Md. Sanwar Hossain, Anchal Prodhan and Mr. Ratan Kumar Roy, Unit Incharge of Ashuganj unit.
The businesses of these potential entrepreners include, Dairy Farm and Tailoring business.
Screening camp is the first stage of identifying new entrepreneurs to establish the children of Grameen bank borrowers as successful entrepreneurs. It's a day long group interactive exercise to explain the details of the NP, spread the message of the objectives of NP and the idea of social business among aspiring entrepreneurs, followed by group discussions and question-answer session.
