On Sunday, April 20, 2014 Managing Director of Grameen Telecom Trust (GTT), Ms. Parveen Mahmud FCA signed investment agreements with five (5) new Nobin Udyoktas(NU) (New Entrepreneurs) in presence of the Honorable Chairman, Nobel Laureate Professor Muhammad Yunus. This takes the total number of NU projects signed by GTT to twenty nine (29).
[NEWS_IMAGE] These aspiring entrepreneurs are all children of Grameen Bank familes who plan to start new businesses or scale up existing ones. Grameen Telecom Trust under its Nobin Udyokta Program is providing assistance to them through investments and other ancillary services. The aim is to establish the youth as entrepreneurs who will be self employed and beyond self employment will create job for others. The business to commence following the agreement signing include: general retail stores, tailoring business, dairy farm and veterinary medical store.
