On Tuesday, 14February, 2017 Grameen Telecom Trust (GTT) participated at the 481st Social Business Design Lab (open session) held at Grameen Bank Auditorium organized by Yunus Centre. The chair of the event, Nobel Laureate Prof. Muhammad Yunus inaugurated the event followed by GTT social business report presentation by Ms. Parveen Mahmud (Managing Director, Grameen Telecom Trust).A video presentation on Honey project, a joint venture of GTT and BASA,‘Honey Processing Social Business’was shown in the design lab.

Two (2) NobinUdyokta-NU (New Entrepreneur) of GTT presented their business proposals at the Design Lab. Ms. Sheuly Begumfrom Borobari Bazar, Sadar, Lalmonirhat presented herwatch repairing shop and Mst. Zakaria Sultanafrom Lalmonirhat presented her business on homeomedicine treatment. Ms. Begum was highly applauded for her entrepreneur skills and ambitions. Though she was married off at the age of 13, she overcome her poverty by learning watch repairing and now successful in it. She is the only female watch mechanic in the whole district. Both the proposals were approved at the Design Lab.
