Foundation for Yunus Social Business Taiwan (hereinafter referred to as FYSBT) Held the “2nd Social Business East Asian Conference” on 19^th November 2019. It held in Taipei was attended by many political leaders, government officials, university presidents from ten universities having YSBCs, and business leaders. Nobel Laureate Professor Muhammad Yunus visited Taiwan as chief guest to share the experience of success and international trend of social business.

International guests included YSBC Director Professor Faiz Shah from Asian Institute of Technology of Thailand, CEO of MyHarapan, Nurfarini Daing from Malaysia, Gao Zhan, President of Grameen China, and YSBC Director Chin Jian-Wei from Zhengzhou University in China.

In this event, Terry Gou, Taiwanese billionaire and Founder, Chairman of Foxconn, was invited to be the Person of Yunus Taiwan 2019 and talk with Professor Yunus in summit forum. In conversation, the president of the FYSBT, Philippa Tsai, as the host in this forum and shared the progress in achieving four goals of the Foundation encouraged by Dr. Yunus Which including “Building Grameen Trust”, “Establishing Social Business Fund”, “Assist University to set up a Yunus Social Business Center(YSBC)” and “Development of Yunus Social Business”. When she explained the initiative to create a social business venture capital fund, Terry Gou immediately announced to contribute USD 3 million to create it.

Professor Yunus added, Terry Gou achieve the theme of this conference, “Making Money is Happiness; Making Other People Happy is Super Happiness.” He makes himself and all guest happy in this event. He also said that the Social Business Venture Capital Fund will support young people of Taiwan to choose the path of entrepreneurship rather than going for jobs.

In the Social Business Dinner Party, the president of Chung Yuan Christian University, Samuel Chang, completed the signing ceremony with professor Yunus about establishing YSBC. It became the 10^th university in Taiwan. Nearly a thousand people participated in this dinner party and all guest enthusiastically support and sponsor the FYSBT. It makes a wonderful ending for 2^nd Social Business East Asian Conference.
