Problem Area:
Bangladesh is a populous country. Its current population is over 160000000 (160 Million) Bangladesh nearly 31 percent of the total population is children and nearly 9.70 percent of them are orphans. Bangladesh has basically two types of orphanages. One is a state-run orphanage and the other is a religious orphanage.

Poverty creates disability and disability creates poverty. People with disabilities are often among the poorest of the poor, the World Bank estimates that disabled people make up to 15-20% of the poorest in developing countries. In Bangladesh most people with disabilities live in the rural areas. They, and sometimes also there families, are often excluded both from there communities and from development initiatives. The most vulnerable are women and children with disabilities. The number of people with disabilities in Bangladesh is high enough to merit special attention. Based on assessments of the available figures and estimates by WHO and World Bank of developing country, an overall disability an overall of about 10% of the population remains a valid working estimate. The prevalence of disabilities in children below 18 years can be estimated to 6% and for the age group above 18 years and the prevalence to about 14% or corresponding to 3.4 million children with disabilities and 10.2 million adults with disabilities.
Total Disability population in Bangladesh: 13,600,000 (13.6 Million)
Over the years, the country has started to experience an increase in their ageing or elderly population with a rise in the number of people aged over 60 years.
From the numbers, it can be seen that in a span of about 30 years the natural growth rate of the population has decreased from 2.35% in 1982 to 1.36% in 2012. This indicates a decline in number of newborns in Bangladesh. However, during the same time, the number of people aged 60 and above (i.e. the ageing population) has increased during the same period from 4.95 million (5.5% of the total population) to 10.92 million (7.2% of the total population). This shows that, on average, people are living longer lives i.e. increased life expectancy.
Total Elderly population in Bangladesh to 10,920,000 (10.92 Million)
Educational stipend and other initiatives taken by the GoB to improve the condition of female education, have not only increased the rate of enrolment and primary education of female child but also created opportunities before them to enter into the employment market (2005). In 1995-96, male labor force constituted 85.92 percent (29.9 million) against 14.08 percent (4.9 million) of their female counterparts. Female employed population in 2010 increased to 29.94 percent (16.2 million) of the total employed population of 54.1 million. Business as usual scenario suggests that 19.8 million employed population 1.2 million unemployed populations might be female in 2015.
Total unemployed population to 3,300,000 (3.3 million) by 2015
