[NEWS_IMAGE] The next phase of the Nobbin Udyokta Screening Exercise took the Social Business team of Grameen Telecom Trust to the northern district of Gaibandha. The day long screening exercise was held on Monday, 27th January 2014 at SKS Training Centre at the Bhorotkhali village of Saghata Upazilla, Gaibandha. The day long exercise included briefing, discussion and break away sessions.
Almost 110 children of Grameen Bank borrowers from all over the district participated at the workshop. The engagement was conducted by the social business team of GTT. Senior regional officials of Grameen Bank spoke on the occasion. This is a part of the Nobin Udyokta program of GTT that scouts young and aspiring entrepreneurs (belonging to families of Grameen Bank borrowers) and supports them in setting up their own ventures by providing various form of assistance. The aim is to turn them in to job creators as opposed to being job seekers.
