Grameen Trust (GT) organized a day long program for Screening Camp & Design Lab at Dhamrai unit of Dhaka District under Manikgonj Anchal on September 19, 2017.
Screening Camp is the first stage of sharing the idea of Nobin Program with the second generation of Grameen Bank borrowers. This is also a way to indentify potential Nobin Udyokta (New Entrepreneur).
Grameen Trust arranged the Screening Camp with Twenty six (26) female entrepreneurs, at Suyapur, Dhamrai. The event was chaired by Mr. Abdul Hai Khan, Managing Director of GT. Mr. Mir Hossain Chowdhury ,Chief, Social Business Department, GT, Mr. Shahidul Haque, Anchal Prodhan, Manikgonj Anchal and other field officers of Dhamrai unit were present. GT resource persons shared their ideas, experiences, & rules & regulation of Nobin Program. The event was followed by an interactive Ouestion-Answer session.
Following the screening camp a special Design Lab was conducted only for potential female Entrepreneurs. This is the first Regional Design Lab of Manikgonj Anchal which was organized only for women. The Design Lab was chaired by Mr. Abdul Hai Khan, Managing Director , GT. Ten new female Entrepreneurs from Dhamrai Unit presented their proposals at this exclusive Design Lab. Out of ten proposals, all proposals were approved. Total amount of approved investment of ten proposals was BDT 2,20,000 (USD 2716) .
The projects include livestock & Fishers, Handicraft & Cottage Industry.
