On Monday, May 26th 2014, Grameen Telecom Trust (GTT), signed investment agreements with seventeen (17) new Nobin Udyoktas (NU) (New Entrepreneurs). This takes the total number of NU projects signed by GTT to sixty four (64).

These aspiring entrepreneurs are all children of Grameen Bank familes who plan to start new businesses or scale up existing ones. Grameen Telecom Trust under its Nobin Udyokta Program is providing assistance to them through investments and other ancillary services. The aim is to establish the youth as entrepreneurs who will be self employed and beyond self employment will create job for others. The business to commence following the agreement signing include: general retail and varieties stores, clothing and tailoring shops, shoe store, automobile repairing and mechanic shop, IT support businesses, distributorship businesses, fish farm, crockery store, jewellery business, telecom businesses and others.
