Ashir is an Associate Professor in the Department of Advanced Information Technology at Kyushu University, Japan, and the Director of the Global Communications Centre in Grameen Communications, Bangladesh. His research aims to produce and promote Information and Communications Technology services for the unreached communities in the world. He developed a joint collaboration between Grameen and Kyushu University and produced numerous international projects: GramWeb (a village information platform); passbook (an electronic gadget for unreached community); $300 portable clinic and IGPF (Income Generation Project for Farmers using ICT). Inside Kyushu University, he developed a team of multi-disciplinary researchers working on these issues, leading to the establishment of a social business research center at Kyushu.

Cam Donaldson is Yunus Chair and Distinguished Professor of Health Economics at Glasgow Caledonian University, where he founded the Yunus Centre for Social Business & Health (2010) and served as Pro Vice Chancellor Research (2016-21). Cam previously held the Health Foundation Chair at Newcastle University, the Svare Chair at University of Calgary and a professorship at University of Aberdeen. He has been recognised through the award of senior investigatorships from the Canadian Institutes of Health Research and the UK’s National Institute for Health Research. Since 2013, Cam has been Scientific Chair of the Social Business Academia Conferences.

He has previously served as Director Students Welfare Services at Maseno University for Nine years, Co-ordinator of Evening/Parallel Programmes, Chairman Department of Sociology at Maseno University, and National Council for population and Development. He has served in the various Committees within the University Administrative structure. Prof. Ochola is accomplished scholar and a Professional Social Demographer. He holds Bachelor of Arts Degree in Geography and Master of Arts in Population Studies from the University of Nairobi and PhD in Demography from the University of Liverpool.

Professor Chukwuemeka Jude Diji is currently an Associate Professor of mechanical engineering and Deputy ViceChancellor for Research, Innovation, Consultancy and Extension at Kampala International University, Kampala, Uganda He is the Chair of the African Research Council on Sustainable Development (ARSCD) and Professional Research Council Member of the International Institute for Policy Review and Development Strategies (IIPRDS). He is a member of the Nigerian Society of Engineers, the Nigerian Institution of Mechanical Engineers, the Automobile Engineers’ Institute and a registered engineer with the Council for the Regulation of Engineering in Nigeria (COREN). He is also a member of the Nigerian Economic Society (NES), the National/International Association of Energy Economics, as well as a member of the African Round Table on Sustainable Consumption and Production (ARSCP), an arm of the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP).He is also serving as an Expert on the roster of experts of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC). He is also an African Climate Leadership Fellow

He has worked as the  Head of Department of Mechanical Engineering of the University of Ibadan, Nigeria, as an engineer and Production manager for a number of companies including, SOAG Drilling Co,  the Leventis Group  Beta Industries Ltd and Tolaram Clay Brick Industries in Nigeria. He has also served as an expert Reviewer for the Climate Research for Development (CR4D), a programme initiated by the African Academy of Science (AAS), the UK Department of International Development (DFID), Weather and Climate Information Services for Africa (WISER) and the African Climate Policy Centre (ACPC) of the United Nations Economic Commission for Africa (UNECA).

Benedicte Faivre-Tavignot is an Associate Professor of Strategy (Education Track Faculty) at HEC Paris. She is the Executive Director of the S&O Center (Society & Organizations Center), which aims to develop a new way of thinking about the role of business in society, through research, teaching and action. She co-created the HEC Paris Master of Science in Sustainable Development in 2003, and also co-founded the HEC Chair Social Business / Enterprise and Poverty, which became the Movement for Social Business Impact in 2016 and is co-presided by Mohammed Yunus, Founder of the Grameen Bank and Peace Nobel Price 2006, Emmanuel Faber, CEO of Danone, and Martin Hisch, former High Commissioner in active solidarities against poverty, and head of Paris Hospitals. Dr. Chien-wen Shen is a Professor of Business Administration at National Central University (NCU). He also serves as the Director of the Yunus Social Business Center, Director of the Center for Media and Social Impact, and Division Director of the University Social Responsibility Office at NCU. He received his PhD in Industrial Engineering and Management Sciences from Northwestern University. His research interests include business analytics, information management, decision science, social business, and impact management. Dr. Shen has published over 100 research papers and presented numerous lectures, speeches, and workshops. He has also been participated with more than 40 funded projects supported by Ministry of Science and Technology, Ministry of Transportation and Communications, Ministry of Education, National Science Foundation, and other organizations. Nobel Laureate Professor Muhammad Yunus is the father of both Social Business and Microcredit, the founder of Grameen Bank, and more than 50 other companies in Bangladesh. For his constant innovation and enterprise, Fortune Magazine named Professor Yunus in March 2012 as “one of the greatest entrepreneurs of our time.” In 2006, Professor Yunus and Grameen Bank were jointly awarded the Nobel Peace Prize. Dr Charles Mutua Mulli is the Founder of Mully Children’s Family Trust (MCF) and a social entrepreneur in Kenya. MCF is a Christian charitable organization with a vision to see children, youth and marginalized members of society leading dignified livelihood. His stewardship of MCF mission encompasses; spiritual nourishment, advancing education and skills training, economic and social development, environmental transformation, and community health. This has earned him awards and recognition as a keynote speaker by governments, universities, local and international organizations. Awards include; honorary Doctorate of Science degree in Agriculture and Environmental Sciences – McGill University-Canada; honorary Doctorate in Social Work – Kabarak University; Family Philanthropy – East Africa Association of Grant Makers; Head of State Commendation – Kenya. Dr Mulli is also the main subject in the Mully Movie – docudrama.

For sustainability and long-term social change, Dr Mulli has invested in income-generating activities and ploughs-back profits to fund and scale up social programs and charity work. He has successfully rehabilitated over 25,000 children/youth and currently supports over 5,000 children under MCF care and protection besides the school feeding program for over 8,000 children in public schools.

Seno Namwandi is an enthusiastic pioneer of Intellectual Property (IP) in Namibia. She is passionate about the role of IP and Innovation in developing the economic sector in Africa. Seno was employed full time at the International University of Management (IUM) where she served as the Director of Innovation and IP. She is also the youngest director on the board of the Business Intellectual Property Authority (BIPA) in Namibia (a state-owned enterprise).  One of her achievements was being selected as a 2018 Mandela Washington Fellow. Seno is currently pursuing her MBA with the University of Cape Town (UCT) and serves the class as its President. She has a Masters degree in IP from Africa University, Zimbabwe and other postgraduate certifications in IP. She obtained her Bachelor’s degree in Molecular Biology and Biotechnology from Stellenbosch University, South Africa. Dr. M. Jahangir Alam Chowdhury is a Professor in the Department of Finance and the Executive Director of the Center for Microfinance and Development at the University of Dhaka in Bangladesh. Professor Chowdhury is also an academic advisor to Yunus Centre, a global think tank for issues related to social business, microfinance, poverty alleviation, and sustainability, which is chaired by the Nobel laureate Professor Muhammad Yunus. Prof. Chowdhury’s research focuses on microfinance, poverty, entrepreneurship, payment for ecosystem services, and social business. Yanniz Valadez Cortés is an industrial designer, graduated from Universidad de Monterrey, certified in Innovation and Design Thinking by The School of Design of Monterrey. She is the Founder and Director of the social business IDASE "I Design as a Social Entrepreneur"  that conducts a program of experiential learning for young students of low-income schools through design and peace education workshops to strengthen the sense of ownership with the students to eradicate school dropouts. Previously she worked at the Social Development Ministry of the State of Nuevo León where she designed and coordinated the social inclusion model based on co-responsibilities for low-income social programs: women, old people and people with disabilities. She is also a member of the Global Shapers of Monterrey Hub, Ashoka Youth Mexico Community, Economy of Francesco Mexico Community and Kybernus Network. Yanniz earned the Municipality Youth Medal and the State Youth Award both for her social impact in the category of education and was awarded as an Invisible Beauty Maker (2021) by the PUIG Foundation, Ashoka, Spain and Mexico. Dr. Jonas Yawovi Dzinekou is from Togo and belongs to the religious congregation of the Comboni Missionaries. He is a holder of the DBA in Strategic Management. He was the director of the Institute for Social Transformation at Tangaza University College. He is a lecturer of business strategy and social entrepreneurship and social innovation. His past professional experience was in the leadership of technical schools in Malawi and Zambia. Henri KOULAYOM is a Central African Republic lecturer and researcher; he was born on November 2, 1966 in Bangui. He completed all of his studies in France where he obtained a Doctorate in Management Science from the University of Paris-Dauphine. He is the author of several publications in the field of finance and accounting. In 2015, he was elevated to the rank of University Aggregate in the CAMES system, heads the Business Management Laboratory (LAME). From 2000 to 2003, he was economic and financial advisor to the Central African Head of State. In addition, as a chartered accountant, he carries out audit and consulting activities.

Professor John Struthers is an experienced academic and respected economist with over 40 years working in a variety of universities in the UK and in Africa. He has worked at the University of the West of Scotland- UWS (and its’ predecessors) for 43 years and became a Professor in 1996. He has been Dean of a Faculty of Business at UWS, Head of Department of Economics and Enterprise, and Founding Head of the UWS Graduate School. Prior to joining UWS he lectured in Nigeria at the University of Ilorin where he helped to establish a new economics department and he later worked at the University of Sierra Leone. He has conducted research on several African countries in the area of commodities (commodity price volatility) and has a range of publications in economics journals, principally in the fields of development economics, international finance, monetary economics and entrepreneurship in Africa. He also helped to establish the Journal of Social Business as Lead Editor in 2010 and Professor Yunus is a member of the journal’s Editorial Board.

He has held various visiting professorship positions. He was (until 2016) a Visiting Professor of Economics at the University of Glasgow within the Adam Smith Business School. Outside of academia, in 2015 he was appointed Honorary Consul for Ethiopia in Scotland and in 2018 he was appointed Chancellor of Mount Kenya University, one of the largest private universities in Africa. In 2015 he helped to establish the Centre for African Research on Enterprise and African Development (CAREED) at UWS and is the Centre’s current Director. CAREED is a unique research Centre which specializes on a range of key economic issues across the continent of Africa with a strong focus on: commodities and trade, logistics and global value chains, entrepreneurship (esp female), and economic governance. Kenneth Lawrence Wanjau is an Associate Professor of Entrepreneurship and Business Development at Karatina University, Kenya and also a small and medium enterprise facilitator with experience in small business consultancy and development. Currently he is the Director in charge of University-Industry and International Programmes at Karatina University. He is also the coordinator of Developing Entrepreneurial Universities in Kenya at Karatina University. As a scholar in entrepreneurship, he is actively involved in research and has specialized in strategic entrepreneurship, corporate entrepreneurship and techno entrepreneurship. He has a Ph.D and MSc in Entrepreneurship.

Currently he is .involved in training at the University on entrepreneurship, business development and business management. He has been an Ad Hoc committee member that supervised performance contract implementation in Government Ministries and Parastatals. Also he is a consultant of Extra Insight Ltd, HortPreneur Enterprise and Easy Dial Research, which empower micro and small enterprise owners through training, data analysis, conducting surveys and other business development services. Professor Waswa Balunywa is currently the Principal of Makerere University Business School, (MUBS). He has been teaching in the University for over 30 years primarily in the area of Business Administration, Accounting, Finance and Management. He led the team that started private programmes in Makerere University, changing the landscape of higher education not only in the country but in the region. Currently, as the Chief Operating Officer of JUiNCUBATOR (Jain University Incubation Centre), a technology business incubator, accelerator recognized by DST, Govt of India located in Bangalore, he is closely engaged with the startup ecosystem, identifying, mentoring and helping promising entrepreneurs in the technology space. He plays a key role in building and contributing to the national-global Innovation & Startup ecosystem. Nayaz is also an active member of the scientific communities and constantly participates in the local and international conferences/workshops.

Roberto Fuentes has a degree in Economics with a doctorate in Economics. Member of the Academic Body "Industrial Economics and Business Development" and current PRODEP Profile. He teaches the courses of Statistics, Public Policies, Economic Structure of Baja California in the bachelor's degree in economics, the mathematics course in the master's degree in Economic Sciences and the courses of Social intervention and Leadership in the Master's and Doctorate program in Social Business. He is the author of a book, several book chapters and refereed documents on topics related to the studies of vulnerable sectors and entrepreneurship. He has participated in research projects related to the development of business skills with an emphasis on microenterprises.

He currently participates in the UABC-Yunus Center where dissemination activities and links with business, academic and social sectors of the region are carried out. Dr. Micaela Mazzei is a Senior Lecturer at the Yunus Centre for Social Business and Health, Glasgow Caledonian University. She holds a PhD in human geography from Durham University and an MA (Econ) in Applied Social Research from the University of Manchester. Dr Mazzei leads the MSc Social Innovation and Social Innovation with Professional Practice programmes at GCU and she is currently a visiting Senior Research Associate at the University of Johannesburg and the RSA (Regional Studies Association) Scotland Section Chair. Micaela’s interest in social innovation and social economy is threefold: understanding the contextual determinants of social enterprise development and performance; understanding the dynamics of local (and regional) economies – through the lens of a diverse economy approach; and the involvement of voluntary and community organisations in delivery of public services.

Dr. Vincent G. Gaitho (Ph.D), a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D) holder in Tourism and Recreation Geography;  a Master of Arts degree  holder in Population and Settlement Geography; a career educationist; formerly taught at the Catholic University of Eastern Africa (CUEA);  a registered Lead Expert in Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) and Environmental Audit (EA) by the National Environmental Management Authority (NEMA);  founder member of the Board of Trustees, National Research Fund,  and the Founder and Patron of Gichuru Gaitho Foundation; Currently he is the Pro-Chancellor and Vice-Chairman of Council, Mount Kenya University.
